Foundation History

The Rostrevor College Foundation was established in 1987 by a group of old scholars and parents for the purpose of raising money for capital development at Rostrevor College. This developed over the years to include raising money for Scholarships. The Foundation has played a vital role in raising funds for the ongoing development of the College for more than 25 years.

My son Patrick has just graduated this year, and I am very proud of all he has achieved, but more importantly, the young man he has become. The Foundation has been a part of Patrick’s journey at Rostrevor College through the renewal and development of facilities and programs supporting Environmental, Indigenous and Inclusive education. It is a real privilege to have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people, and I want to thank you for your kind and thoughtful support.

Cathy Moore has recently been appointed as Rostrevor College Foundation Officer, and will bring her experience from previous employment at World Vision and The Bible Society to support the educational outcomes of Rostrevor’s young men. Previously Andrew Robertson undertook this role, and still continues at Rostrevor with a continued focus as the Coordinator of Special Events and Development.

The Rostrevor College Foundation is an Incorporated Association. The Foundation's funds are administered by a Board of Trustees, elected annually by members of the Foundation (active financial supporters). The Foundation Board, which includes the College Principal as an ex-officio Member, meets monthly from February to November each year. The Foundation Board strives to strengthen the Rostrevor College community by working with all stakeholders to enable buildings and educational programs that would not otherwise be possible.

The Rostrevor College Foundation Incorporated Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday 27th November at 6.30pm in the Spirituality Centre at Rostrevor College. The Chairman’s and Treasurer’s Reports for financial year 2012 were presented and Simon Dash Rostrevor College Principal presided over the election process for Board Members for 2013.
