Scholarships & Bursaries


Please Note: The first round of Scholarship offers will generally be made by the end of Term 1 or early Term 2, the year prior to commencement.


Music Scholarship
Reception to 12 (subject to vacancies in particular year levels)

New student/s with exceptional talent and capacity to enhance College music ensembles.


CMEK (Academic) Scholarship 
Year 8

Rostrevor College is offering Academic Scholarships to students entering Year 8 in 2018. These Scholarships are also open to current Rostrevor College students in Year 6 in 2016.

The CMEK (Academic) Scholarships are awarded on the basis of results in the ACER exam conducted by ACER, at the discretion of the Principal.

About the ACER Academic Scholarship Exam


Science & Technology Scholarship 
Year 8

New student/s with an aptitude for Science, Technology and/or Mathematics. Exceptional aptitude may be demonstrated through supporting evidence or students may be required to sit a short test.


Dr Bernard Cormie Senior School Scholarship
Year 10 or 11

New student/s with an aptitude for either

  • Science, Technology and/or Mathematics or
  • Humanities

Applicants will be required to sit a test. ($40 fee applies)


Years 8 to 12

Rural students requiring financial assistance


Indigenous Boarding Scholarships
Years 10 to 12


Indigenous Youth Leadership Program
Years 8 to 12


Edmund Rice Bursary
Years 8 to 12

Often recommended by a local parish to assist students in difficult circumstances. This includes a limited number of bursaries for students who entered Australia on Humanitarian Visas.


General Bursaries
Reception to Year 12
  • School Card (Government means tested scheme for low income families) eligible families may be offered 50% remission of Tuition Fees.
  • Bursaries must be finalised by negotiation with the Principal or the Business Manager prior to the student commencing school.

An Application for Fee Remission is available from the Accounts Office.
Any deviation from payment of full fees must be received in writing.
