Born in Streaky Bay the youngest of nine Eugene Evans lived, worked and played football on the Eyre Peninsula for 18 years. He said Rostrevor College had a long and rewarding connection with Eyre Peninsula farming families, in particular, and was the "home away from home" for generations of grandfathers, fathers, uncles and brothers.
