Commencement

Rostrevor College academic year is from the beginning of February to the beginning of December.

Students can only commence Year 11 or 12 study at the beginning of each academic year (usually February). Students can enter all other year levels at various times during the academic year, provided they have a satisfactory level of English. Students entering in this way need to ensure they have completed all critical parts of academic work to ensure promotion to the next academic year.

Final examinations for each academic year are held in late November and promotion to the next level of study occurs in mid to early December.

Students requiring Intensive English before entering mainstream classes attend an English Language School approved by the College. English Language Tuition may continue through December and January if required. Students whose English is well developed and who only need a short time of Intensive English tuition (10 to 20 weeks) may find July (Term 3) or October (Term 4) a convenient time to arrive, allowing them the possibility of commencing the following year.
