Principal's COVID-19 Updates

Friday 13 August Update - School Sport Spectator Requirements

Spectators at outdoor sports are permitted: 1 person per 2 square metres

Spectators at indoor sports are permitted: 1 person per 4 square metres (masks required)

Seated consumption of food and beverage is allowed (outdoors and indoors). Communal food and beverages are not permitted.

From Thursday 5 August, the following activities can resume:

  • Whole school assemblies, Chapel and House gatherings;
  • All Co-curricular activities within the school including interschool sport training, trials and competitions. Up to 1000 spectators are allowed providing masks are worn and physical distancing of one person per 2sq/m is adhered to. For indoor sports, we anticipate one spectator per player, but this is to be confirmed.
  • Incursions, excursions and intrastate camps;
  • Events held at offsite venues with approved COVID-19 safe or COVID-19 management plans;
  • Events held within the College grounds (including performances, concerts and assemblies) providing density and physical distancing requirements are met, COVID-19 check ins are completed and masks are worn by adults and students in secondary school who are not performing

The following measures remain in place until further notice:

  • All interstate camps and travel are postponed;
  • We will continue to limit the number of parents on site and, when onsite, parents must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing;
  • All adults (including staff) must complete a COVID-19 check in each time they enter the site.

Mask wearing restrictions are not expected to be lifted in the short term, so parents are asked to purchase resusable masks for their sons as these are a more hygienic and environmentally-friendly option. Rostrevor will retain a single-use supply for students who have forgotten/lost their mask.
