Foundation Board

The Foundation Board, which includes the College Principal as an ex-officio Member, meets monthly from February to November each year. The Foundation Board strives to strengthen the Rostrevor College community by working with all stakeholders to enable buildings and educational programs that would not otherwise be possible.

Chairman: Darren Furst ('97)
Darren joined the Board in 2015.  He attended Rostrevor College from 1992 - 97 after his family moved to Adelaide from the family farm located 200 km south east of Adelaide. After completing his schooling he worked within the family business and then managed the Havelock Hotel on Hutt Street for a number of years. During this time he entered into discussions with another old scholar, Michael Murphy, about working in the finance industry. In 2001 Darren ceased working at the Hotel and commenced his career as a Financial Advisor under the guidance of Michael. 14 years later Darren is now the Principal of Murphy Financial Advice and has been instrumental in the growth of the practice. Since leaving Rostrevor, Darren has been heavily involved with the Rostrevor Old Collegians' Football Club, from committee member, sponsorship director, team manager and assistance coach. Darren has Nicholas (Yr 3) and Thomas (Reception).

Treasurer: Simon Davis ('88)
The grandson of foundation scholar Bill Noonan, Simon attended Rostrevor from 1984-1988 and has a son, Aspen (Yr 10) currently attending th College. After graduating from Rostrevor he went on to complete a Bachelor of Surveying and Post Graduate studies in Infrastructure Engineering and Management. He has worked as a lecturer in Geographic Information Systems at the University of South Australia and has worked for various State and Local Government authorities. He is currently the Team Leader of Asset Planning at the City of Port Adelaide Enfield in charge of a team of asset planners and engineers responsible for the long term planning of council infrastructure.  Simon joined the Foundation in 2018.

Member: Danielle Scheid
Danielle joined the Board in 2015 and has two sons at the College, Nicholas ('17) and Hamish (Yr 10).  Danielle has over 25 years' consultative experience in the Office Equipment Industry across the SME market and industry sectors in SA.

Member: Siobhan Fanning
Siobhan joined the board in 2020 after moving to Adelaide from Ireland in 2012 and has two boys at Rostrevor, Tadhg (Yr 6) and Tiernan (Yr 9). A primary school teacher with experience with the Department of Child Protection and large scale community based fund raising initiatives which she looks to use to focus on the philanthropy activities and the future progression of the college.
