Major General Peter Phillips AO MC '51Written on the 18 April 2018 by Old Collegians Association Major General Peter Phillips AO MCMajor Gen, Peter Phillips, Major Gen. Barry Hockney AO, Major Gen. Peter Day from the 1985 Annual. Much in the news these days is Major General Peter Phillips, who, after a very distinguished Army career is now National President of the Returned Servicemen's League. He featured recently on TV at the side of Mr. John Howard, Prime Minister, at special ceremonies at Gallipoli on Anzac Day. Peter and his brothers, Ian and Denis, were students at Rostrevor in the 1940s, Peter entering Duntroon after he left Rostrevor, joining that remarkable group, Barry Hockney, Bill Broderick (RIP), and Peter Day, who all had such distinguished careers in the Army. We congratulate Peter Phillips on his public-spirited work in the RSL and wish him every blessing on his efforts on behalf of his fellow servicemen.
