Welcome to the start of Term 4, the final term of the 2025 School Year. As our Year 12 students approach the conclusion of their official lessons and begin preparations for upcoming examinations and assessments, this period represents both reflection and anticipation for the future. We extend our best wishes to Year 12 students and their families as they complete their final days in the classroom and conclude their academic journeys at Rostrevor.

Junior Years Music Night

The Junior Years Music Night was a celebration of the talent and dedication of Rostrevor’s youngest budding musicians. Loreto College’s Performing Arts Theatre was full of proud families and excited musicians last night as the audience was treated to an evening of outstanding performances across a wide range of musical genres. Thank you to the Music Department for putting on another wonderful event!

Little Rossi Learners

This week we welcomed the incoming 2026 Reception students into the Junior Years for their first Little Rossi Learners transition session. The boys will visit the College for the next five weeks to become familiar with the faces, places and spaces in the Junior Years alongside the 2025 Mid-Year Receptions who will be their classmates next year. For some it was their first taste of Rostrevor, but others are familiar faces in the Junior School after previous visits to see their big brothers.

Year 12 End of School Celebration Presentations

The Year 12 cohort heard from Encounter Youth on Wednesday about how to stay safe and keep their friends safe if they plan to celebrate after graduation at Schoolies or any other event. They heard about the risks associated with these kinds of events and how to best navigate the complex problems they are likely to face.

In his presentation to the Year 12 students, lawyer Mark Twiggs emphasised the importance of making safe and legal choices as young adults preparing to leave school. He reminded students that their actions and decisions carry real-world consequences, encouraging them to think ahead and act with integrity. Connecting to the Year of Courage, Mark conveyed that doing the right thing often takes bravery, especially when it means standing apart from peers or resisting pressure, but true character is shown through the courage to make responsible and ethical decisions.

Manchester City Football School Holiday Clinics

Budding football players from the wider community enjoyed three-day clinics these holidays, learning skills from one of the most successful football clubs in the world in a fun and inclusive environment. Thank you to Manchester City Football School and Rostrevor First XI Coach Jamie Lee and Assistant Coach Damien Pipicella for facilitating another successful holiday program!

First XI Cricket vs Pembroke

The First XI’s season kicked off yesterday afternoon with a home T20 game against Pembroke School. While the closely contested game finished in Pembroke’s favour, the upcoming season looks promising in the hands of the young squad. Rostrevor batted first, finishing at 6/108, which Pembroke was able to match with only one over to spare with 5/111.
