Developing young talent

With six Junior Year teams starting from Year 2 and a further 12 Middle and Senior Year sides, Rostrevor has one of the most expansive soccer programs of any school in the State.

Teams are supported by College teachers and some professional coaches and regularly participate in SAPSASA, State and national competitions.

Mini Roos Fun Day

Hundreds of young soccer players from across the north-eastern suburbs converged on Rostrevor College for a Mini Roos Fun Day in March, with Campbelltown City, North Eastern MetroStars, Modbury Jets and Adelaide Blue Eagles soccer clubs fielding more than 400 players aged six to 11. Rostrevor College offered to host the event on its expansive grounds and set up 12 soccer pitches across three ovals and provided referees from its student body.

Event Coordinator Evan Pezos said given the growing popularity of soccer and the relatively few available soccer pitches to junior players at this time of year, the College was more than happy to help out. "This is a great chance for young players throughout the north eastern suburbs to dust off their soccer boots, get together with their teammates and brush up on their skills while enjoying a light-hearted and fun soccer-carnival atmosphere," Mr Pezos said.
