Mid-Year Reception Intake

Rostrevor College Junior Years has a long tradition of offering quality educational experiences for boys from Reception to Year 6 in the Edmund Rice Tradition.

For students starting school, we offer two intakes for Reception students each year:

• Term 1 (where students complete four terms in Reception)
• Term 3 (where students complete six terms in Reception)

The Mid-Year intake is available to students who turn five on or before 31 October in 2024. 

Mid-Year Reception students who join us in 2024 will receive free tuition for Terms 3 & 4. This includes tuition fees and compulsory charges.

Learning Program

Our mid-year intake program provides students with learning experiences in play-based learning with a specific focus on communication, language and early literacy and numeracy programs. As well as classroom-based activities, students have access to specialist lessons including Italian, the Arts and Physical Education.

Transition

A smooth transition from early learning to school is essential in setting up students for success. Children who experience a positive transition into their new environment are more likely to be happy at school and continue to improve their social and academic skills. Students enrolled in the Mid-Year intake are invited to participate in our Little Rossi Learner’s: Ready for Rostrevor! transition program for six weeks in Term 2. This program allows new students to form connections with friends, teachers, and the physical school space.
