Congratulations to our Reception class, who celebrated their 100th day of school on Tuesday! They celebrated by making fairy bread and doing a ‘100’ worksheet with their 100-year-old faces at the top. In true spirit, Miss Elmawey spent the day dressed up as a 100-year-old!

Time to clean out your closets! Thanks to the work of Egan House and the Social Justice group, blue bins were placed around the school on Monday for students to donate good-quality second-hand clothing to the Society of St Vincent De Paul, where they will stay for the next three weeks. All donations made will go towards helping Vinnies to assist people experiencing poverty and inequality. With the cost of living increasing, all donations will be gratefully accepted by those experiencing challenging times this winter.

Thank you to all those who donated to the Kick Start for Kids (KSFK) Period Poverty Campaign Initiative. Our community has filled the bin in the Equity Hub twice since it was placed there in Week 3 of Term 2. Your period product donations will be given to women in need in South Australia. I would also like to acknowledge and thank our Prefects who were at the forefront of ensuring Rostrevor was involved in this worthwhile campaign.

Ahead of 2024 SATAC applications opening on Monday, 7 August, a walkthrough video of the SATAC undergraduate application is available to view HERE. 

The video steps through a typical application using the new application portal, mySATAC. Students are encouraged to view this prior to commencing their application. All initial applications should be completed by Friday, 29 September to avoid incurring additional application fees.

Parents and caregivers of Year 10 students are asked to please view the SACE information letter and the pre-recorded clips HERE before the SACE information evening which will be held online on Tuesday 8 August at 6:00pm. 

Congratulations to the Year 7/8 soccer team who on Wednesday won 4-0 against their counterparts at fellow EREA school, St Paul’s College. The boys travelled to Gilles Plains for a St Paul’s home game where both teams displayed great sportsmanship. Their post-game celebrations were joined by Old Scholar Brandon Jackson-Martin (‘22), who works at St Paul’s as Inclusive Education Support Officer - First Nations Mentor. Our Year 7/8 Soccer team have now qualified to play in the finals in Week 8. Good luck, boys!

Congratulations to the Year 9/10 soccer team for winning 3-0 against Parafield Gardens in the Quarter Final of the Knockout Competition! Our goal scorers for the game were Massimo Cerracchio, Christian Tassotti and Oliver Ruotolo. We wish the team all the best as they go on to play in the State Finals in Week 10.

On Wednesday, our Cross Country runners competed in the SAAS interschool Cross Country time trials at Immanuel College. Well done to Riley Craig (Year 12) who finished first in the Open Age category!
